DAY ONE – FRIDAY:
Arrival and Welcome to Darley House
Arrive in the English countryside and settle into Darley House, your private country retreat for the week.
As evening falls, enjoy a welcome reception and gourmet dinner hosted by Richard Felix, who will introduce you to the captivating history awaiting you throughout the week ahead.
Your arrival is celebrated with a curated welcome basket filled with locally sourced delicacies - from artisan cheeses and preserves to small-batch gins and handmade chocolates. This is your first taste of the refined rural hospitality that defines this journey.

PEAK DISTRICT
Secrets of Derbyshire's Peak District
Begin the day with a hearty English breakfast before venturing through the rolling hills of the Peak District National Park.
Explore Ladybower and Derwent Reservoir, famous as the testing site for the legendary Dambusters’ Bouncing Bombs.
Continue to the charming village of Castleton for a private tour of the Blue John Cavern, where rare gemstones have been mined for centuries.
Return to Darley House for a sumptuous three-course dinner, expertly prepared by your private chef, featuring the best of Derbyshire’s local produce and fine wines.
DAY TWO – SATURDAY:

DOVEDALE STEPPING STONES
Heritage by Rail & County Charm
Enjoy breakfast before departing for Hardwick Hall, one of England’s grandest Elizabethan mansions, known for its glittering tapestries and dramatic architecture.
Lunch is a delight aboard the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Ploughman’s lunch in a private vintage carriage as the countryside drifts by.
The afternoon brings a scenic walk at Dovedale Stepping Stones and a visit to Ilam Hall, an idyllic country estate surrounded by tranquil gardens. Conclude the day back at Darley House with a traditional Sunday roast, accompanied by fine wines and relaxed conversation around the fire.
DAY THREE – SUNDAY:

YORK MINSTER
York - History, Heritage & Hauntings
DAY FOUR – MONDAY:
After breakfast, journey north to the ancient city of York, one of England’s most historically rich destinations.
Wander through The Shambles, a medieval street lined with timber-framed shops and boutiques, and marvel at the magnificent York Minster, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.
Your personal guide will share York’s ghostly legends and hidden histories, adding intrigue to your exploration.
Enjoy time for luxury shopping, fine dining, and perhaps a pint in one of York’s centuries-old pubs before returning to Darley House.

HADDON HALL
Grand Estates & Elegant Dining
DAY FIVE – TUESDAY:
Following breakfast, visit the romantic Haddon Hall, often called “the most perfect house to survive the Middle Ages.” Its preserved beauty and manicured gardens offer a glimpse into centuries of English aristocratic life.
Continue to Buxton, a refined spa town with Georgian architecture and boutique charm, where you’ll indulge in a classic Cream Tea. On the return journey, stop at Hartington’s Cheese Shop, a local treasure offering handmade British cheeses.
The evening’s highlight is a black-tie dinner at Callow Hall, where culinary artistry meets luxury in an unforgettable fine-dining experience.

Abbey's, Villages & Serene Beauty
DAY SIX – WEDNESDAY:
After breakfast, discover the serene beauty of Fountains Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of England’s largest and best-preserved monastic ruins.
Continue to Holmfirth, the picturesque village immortalized by classic British television and known for its charm and artisan shops.
We then return to Darley House for a leisurely afternoon, allowing time for relaxation, spa treatments, or simply enjoying the countryside.
Dinner this evening is a casual yet refined affair, featuring locally inspired dishes and seasonal flavors.

CHATSWORTH HOUSE
Chatsworth - The Jewel of the Peak
DAY SEVEN – THURSDAY:
Begin your final full day with breakfast before an unforgettable VIP “Behind the Scenes” Tour of Chatsworth House, the magnificent seat of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.
Enjoy private access to rarely seen rooms and treasures, followed by a visit to the Chatsworth Farm Shop for gourmet goods and gifts.
Later, stroll through the charming market town of Bakewell, sampling the famous Bakewell Tart and exploring boutique shops.
Return to Darley House for a farewell dinner - a celebration of friendship, discovery, and the beauty of Britain.
